CLEVELAND, Ohio — Frontier Airlines is bringing back nonstop flights between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) — just in time for Mardi Gras 2026.
The route will be short-term, operating only during February, offering travelers from Northeast Ohio a convenient way to experience one of the nation’s biggest celebrations.
The new flights are part of a larger expansion announced by Frontier this week, which includes additional routes from 22 U.S. cities to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras season.
Mardi Gras Schedule and Flight Details
Mardi Gras falls on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and Frontier’s Cleveland service will operate five round-trip flights between February 12 and February 22.
Flights will depart from Cleveland at 5:57 p.m., landing in New Orleans at 8:16 p.m.
Return flights will leave New Orleans at 9:11 p.m., arriving in Cleveland at 12:54 a.m.
The service will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, giving travelers multiple options for quick getaways or extended stays in the Big Easy.
Seasonal Route and Expansion
Frontier last operated flights between Cleveland and New Orleans in 2024, marking this as a seasonal revival aimed at meeting increased travel demand during the festive period.
In addition to Cleveland, other cities gaining new or returning Mardi Gras routes include Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, and Baltimore, expanding access to New Orleans for travelers across the Midwest and East Coast.
