LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Breeze Airways is expanding its presence in Lincoln, announcing new flight services to Las Vegas and California’s Orange County.
The new routes come shortly after the successful launch of nonstop flights to Orlando, marking another milestone in the airport’s growing partnership with Breeze Airways.
Twice-Weekly Flights Begin in April 2026
Starting April 8, 2026, Breeze Airways will offer twice-weekly nonstop flights to Las Vegas, the Lincoln Airport announced on Tuesday.
Passengers on the same flight will be able to continue on a one-stop connection to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, without changing planes.
“Before the flights have officially launched, ticket demand has been so high that Breeze Airways called us just last week to let us know we are expanding service in Lincoln with two new destinations,” said Nicki Behmer-Popp, member of the Lincoln Airport Authority.
Community Support Helped Drive Expansion
According to Vanessa Emlich of the Lincoln Airport Authority, strong community support and enthusiasm for the new Orlando route played a major role in Breeze Airways’ decision to expand operations in Lincoln.
The carrier, known for its low fares and flexible route network, has been steadily increasing service to mid-sized cities across the U.S.
Boosting Local Economy and Connectivity
Lincoln Airport Authority Chairperson Chris Hove said the new flights will help fuel economic growth and job creation in the region.
“According to experts in the industry, this new flight will provide between $4 to $6 million dollars of annual economic impact to our community,” Hove said. “These new flights will bring more people into our region and make it easier for folks to get where they need to go.”
More Options for Lincoln Travelers
With new routes to Las Vegas, Orange County, and Orlando, Lincoln travelers now have more options for leisure and business travel than ever before.
The expansion highlights Breeze Airways’ commitment to serving smaller markets and providing convenient connections to major U.S. destinations.
