Introduction
Copa Airlines, the national carrier of Panama, has grown significantly since its founding in 1947. After beginning as a domestic airline, the company transitioned into a fully international operator in the 1980s. Using Panama’s strategic geographic position, Copa has developed a strong network across North and South America.
Today, Copa is considered one of the most influential carriers in the Western Hemisphere. The United States plays a particularly important role, with the airline now connecting Panama City to 18 major U.S. cities.
