Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have reached a major milestone in combining their systems, paving the way for a smoother, more connected travel experience for guests across both networks.
✈️ A Step Toward Seamless Travel
As Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines continue their journey toward full integration, the two carriers are aligning the key systems that make travel possible — from booking flights to baggage claim.
One of the most critical systems being unified is the Passenger Service System (PSS), which manages nearly every aspect of a traveler’s journey.
While the complete system transition won’t occur until April 2026, the airlines have just completed a major technical milestone that marks significant progress toward that goal.
What Changes Might You Notice?
New Booking Platform
If you’re planning travel on or after April 22, 2026, you’ll notice a change when booking Hawaiian Airlines flights. Travelers will be redirected to a new multi-brand booking platform, designed to make it easier to manage trips across both airlines.
This new site will:
- Support multiple languages and currencies to accommodate a global customer base.
- Allow travelers to book the full range of seat types and products offered by both Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines.
Updated Flight Listings
On some third-party travel sites, all flights may initially appear as Alaska Airlines flights. However, Hawaiian Airlines will continue operating hundreds of flights daily, maintaining its signature aloha spirit and service standards.
Each Hawaiian flight will include a clear disclosure — such as “Operated by Alaska as Hawaiian Airlines” — so travelers know which brand experience to expect.
Alaska’s updated website already reflects this disclosure, though other travel sites may need more time to display it accurately.
Branding and Communication
Some travelers may notice a mismatch between the airline branding (Alaska or Hawaiian) in confirmation emails or digital communications and the ticket they purchased. Alaska Air Group is aware of this and actively working to align messaging.
Importantly, no flight schedules or reservations have changed, and Hawaiian Airlines will continue to operate its planned routes.
What Stays the Same?
- Your booked flights, seats, and travel plans remain unchanged.
- If your Hawaiian Airlines trip occurs after April 2026, your reservation has already been smoothly transferred into the new booking system.
- Travelers flying before April 22, 2026 will see no change to their existing itineraries.
Everything continues as planned — the system upgrade is designed to make your travel management easier, not to alter existing bookings.
