Finland’s national carrier Finnair is expanding its presence in Asia this winter, offering a record 25 weekly flights between its home hub in Helsinki and destinations across Thailand.
Record Winter Schedule
The Nordic airline will resume direct flights to Krabi in southern Thailand and increase service to Bangkok, while continuing its ever-popular Phuket route. This marks Finnair’s strongest schedule to Thailand in history, underscoring the carrier’s long-term commitment to the Asian travel market.
Travelers looking for warm winter escapes can now choose from:
- 18 weekly flights to Bangkok (up by four from last winter)
- 5 weekly flights to Phuket
- 2 weekly flights to Krabi
Added Frequencies for UK Connections
Bangkok remains one of Finnair’s top winter destinations, with up to three daily frequencies planned. The airline has added a new nightly service from Helsinki to Bangkok, arriving in Thailand in the afternoon, allowing travelers to start their holidays the same day.
The additional return flight will arrive in Helsinki early in the morning, perfectly timed for smooth onward connections to the UK.
Krabi Route Returns
Known for its white-sand beaches, stunning islands, and laid-back vibe, Krabi will again be connected directly to Helsinki with two weekly flights. This marks the first time Finnair has flown to Krabi since before the pandemic.
“Thailand is one of the most popular long-haul winter destinations, and we are excited to add weekly flights to Bangkok with smooth connections in Helsinki,” said Anssi Partanen, Finnair’s Market Director for the UK and Ireland. “With our direct flights to Krabi, we can again offer an alternative to Phuket for those looking for a quieter beach holiday.”
Strong Connections Across Asia
Beyond Thailand, Finnair offers connections to major Asian cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Delhi, and Singapore.
All Finnair flights operate from a single terminal at Helsinki Airport, ensuring fast and easy transfers — sometimes in as little as 40 minutes. Flights are conveniently timed for passengers connecting from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
When Flights Go on Sale
Tickets for Finnair’s Krabi flights will go on sale starting 30 November, giving travelers plenty of time to plan their winter escape to Thailand.
